Although two jurors have raised questions about how fellow panelists convicted two Belle Glade brothers of murder, they won’t be invited back again to explain their concerns, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Karen Miller ruled today.
Miller took the unusual step of summoning back to court 12 jurors who in January found Kareem Williams, 19, and Dexter Dukes, 22, guilty of the 2011 shooting death of James Demps, 15. Only one juror told her that the jury had made its decision before deliberations began. After another was interviewed, she told a lawyer that she, too, had concerns.
