New attorneys in Wellington polo mogul John Goodman’s DUI manslaughter case are having trouble getting paperwork in the case, in part because Goodman has yet to finish paying his old lawyers.
This, according to documents filed ahead of this morning’s scheduled hearing for Goodman’s upcoming second trial in the death of 23-year-old Scott Patrick Wilson. Goodman, until earlier this summer, was appealing a 2012 conviction and 16-year prison sentence. But he won a new trial after Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath concluded that juror misconduct had rendered his first trial unfair.
