A nine-month jail sentence will be in Wellington construction company owner Gary Czajkowski’s future if he doesn’t win his planned appeal of more than a dozen felony convictions as the chief defendant in the corruption sweep “Operation Dirty Water.”
Palm Beach County Circuit judge Stephen Rapp, who theoretically could have sentenced Czajkowski to more than 200 years in prison, instead sentenced him Friday to nine months in the Palm Beach County Jail for 14 second-degree felony convictions for unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior, along with a related conspiracy charge.
