A pain clinic doctor who faces life in prison on charges of causing the overdose deaths of seven people by over-prescribing powerful narcotics wants Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify that what she was doing was perfectly legal.
U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra suggested today that anti-pill-mill crusading Bondi might do Dr. Cynthia Cadet more harm than good. But, the physician’s attorney countered that the state’s top law enforcement official told Congress that until recently there were no laws in place to shut down the so-called pain clinics.
