News item: Gov. Rick Scott, who started a letter-writing campaign to California businesses, said he might consider using billboards in California to lure businesses there to relocate to Florida.
This makes a lot of sense. Creating new jobs is a lot harder than making a play for existing jobs in other states. And California is a high-tax state with a broad business base that represents about 13 percent of the national output of goods and services.
