When the study talks about charitable behavior, it’s not just about donating money, but also donating time. And, WalletHub found that Florida has the lowest volunteer rates in the United States.

While Florida might be on the lower spectrum of the giving spirit, some believe it shouldn’t be a competition.

Last year, the United States as a whole gave $389 billion to charity and nearly 63 million people volunteered. This made the U.S. the fifth most charitable country in the world, WalletHub found.

But, if you’re curious as to who really embodies the giving spirit, according to Wallet, here are the top 10 states.

1) Utah

2) Maryland

3) Minnesota

4) Wyoming

5) Wisconsin

6) Washington

7) Virgina

8) South Dakota
