Wendy’s out, this national chain in at Tequesta shopping center

Coffee  and such is expected to start being served by Christmas at the new Dunkin’ Donuts being built in Tequesta’s Countyline Plaza.

The building -- plans call for a drive-through window — is at the southwest corner of Countyline Road and U.S. 1.

The new Dunkin’s is in the former Wendy’s restaurant, which closed about a year ago.

The closest Dunkin’ Donuts on U.S. 1 to the north is at Bridge Road in Hobe Sound.

To the south, Dunkin’ coffee lovers have to go to Alternate A1A and Indiantown Road.

The plaza, which has about 1,400 parking spaces, also has a Publix, Chase Bank, Time to Eat Diner and Rocky’s Hardware store.
