Two Palm Beach hotels honored with five-diamond AAA rating

Two popular Palm Beach hotels were honored with five diamond rating that AAA gives each year to establishments in North America.

The Breakers has been a five diamond hotel since 1996 and the Four Seasons Resort has been on the list each year since 2009.

Three others were granted the four diamond distinction: The Brazilian Court, The Chesterfield and Tideline Ocean Resort and Spa.

The AAA rating system has been in place for more than 80 years and includes Mexico and the Caribbean along with hotels in all 50 states.

Professional inspectors make unannounced trips to each hotel and rate them on such criteria as cleanliness, comfort and hospitality.

“Since annual inspections are unannounced, our inspectors get the truest representation of the traveler experience at each property,” said Vicky Evans, AAA assistant vice president for Travel Sales Development. “Our unbiased review allows hotel managers to make improvements and helps travelers choose a hotel that fits their needs for any occasion.”

Florida has 10 five-diamond hotels — the third-most of any state behind California and New York. Eau Palm Beach in Manalapan also made the five-diamond list from Palm Beach County and has been on it every year since 2008.
