Trump in Palm Beach: Back to Mar-a-Lago after golf; Trump half-sisters sunbathe, Kushners fish

3:04 p.m. Tiffany Trump and half-sister Ivanka Trump appear to be getting some sun at Mar-a-Lago. Tiffany is the president’s daughter by his second wife, Marla Maples.

2:29 p.m.: President Trump heads back to Mar-a-Lago after golf. No word yet on the rest of the day.

2:15 p.m.: President Trump just left Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.

12:17 p.m.: The president issued a three-sentence Kwanzaa holiday greeting today. Kwanzaa is a weeklong celebration of African American heritage and culture.

By comparison, the president issued a three-paragraph Hannukah greeting on Dec. 12, which included a brief history on the origins of the holiday.

Ivanka Trump, the president’s eldest daughter, converted to Judaism with she married Jared Kushner on Oct. 25, 2009. The Kushners are modern orthodox jews and maintain a kosher household.

The president credits himself with bringing “Merry Christmas” back to the White House - a veiled reference to the Obamas frequent use of the politically correct and more inclusive “happy holidays.”

However, a quick search of the Web and social media by National Public Radio found many examples of when Obama used the phrase "Merry Christmas." In fact, in his weekly address on Christmas Eve 2016, literally the first words out of the former president's mouth were: "Merry Christmas, everybody."

10:48 a.m.: First daughter Ivanka Trump posted this photo on Instagram of husband Jared with their son Joseph and their “yuge” catch.

From the looks and location of the photo, it appears the Kushners spent the holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago. Among the four photos Ivanka posted: One with a party boat in the backgroup flying a Confederate flag. Astute Trump critics have taken note and taken to twitter with their own thoughts

The photo is the only social media post of the family that Ivanka shared this weekend. The Kushners are modern orthodox Jews and celebrated Hannukah earlier this month.

10:16 a.m.: Our dedicated political reporter George Bennett is embedded with the president’s travelling press pool, which follows the president wherever he goes.

The Palm Beach Post is the only local media embedded with the national press pool. George tweets throughout the day, detailing the president’s activities.

The pool has not been allowed to watch the president golfing but instead is huddled nearby. Today, the pool has been biding time at a nearby IHop.

10 a.m.: President Donald Trump made it to the Trump International Golf club today around 9:05 a.m. to golf with Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga, pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau and former PGA player Dana Quigley.

The press pool is congregated at the nearby IHOP because the library where they usually gather is closed today.

On the way to the course, the motorcade passed one protester.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s helicopter is stationed and ready on Mar-a-Lago’s helipad.
