Sweet 16 ‘quilt cake,’ girls fashion show, groovy concert in Gardens

The Palm Beach Gardens GreenMarket will have a cake made of samples from vendors for its 16th birthday.

A fashion show of athletic wear for girls benefits Allamanda Elementary School’s Health and Wellness Program.

CONCERTS IN THE COURT

Groove Merchant, an ecletic band that plays jazz, pop and blues tunes, will play this week’s free Concert in the Court 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Downtown at the Gardens, 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave.

GIRLS FASHION SHOW

Athleta will throw a launch party for The Athleta GIRL line 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Grand Court of The Gardens Mall, 3101 PGA Blvd. Allamanda Elementary School students, joined by special guest Kelly Cashmere, will star in the fashion show of athletic wear for girls. Five percent of sales will benefit the school’s Health and Wellness Program.

SWEET 16

No birthday is complete without cake, and the Palm Beach Gardens GreenMarket, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, is celebrating its 16th with a “quilt cake” made of cakes supplied by vendors. There will be live entertainment, the usual treats and giveaways while supplies last. The GreenMarket is at City Hall, 10500 North Military Trail.
