NEW: This section of Forest Hill in Wellington is getting resurfaced

A section of Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington is slated for overnight resurfacing work starting this weekend.

The road from south of the Dunkin Donuts near Wellington Trace to just south of Essex Drive will be milled and resurfaced starting from 6 p.m. Sunday to 5:30 a.m. Monday, then from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Friday, said Village Manager Jim Barnes.

“It should not impede any of the regular daytime traveling traffic,” Barnes said. “And of course we want to avoid those peak hours as well.”

The work is being done to “clean up the area” after the larger culvert and utility work that recently was done in the area, he added.

Contractor Ranger Construction also will do two other projects in the village during this time, including a smaller job at a village lift station along the route and resurfacing of park of the parking lot near the Community Center. The parking lot work will begin Thursday evening and wrap up Friday during the day, Barnes said.
