How this Wellington 5K helps cancer patients pay their bills

Registration is open for the Beacon of Hope 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Kevin P. Enterlein on Nov. 12 in Wellington, which will benefit the Cancer Alliance of Hope and Help, an organization that helps cancer patients and their families pay bills associated with treatment and recovery.

The 5K is named for longtime Wellington resident Enterlein, who died last year from colon cancer. Enterlein established Beacon of Hope to raise money and provide support for families in need who are dealing with cancer. His wife and two grown children now run the nonprofit.
