Hey, seniors: Apply now for $1,000 Royal Palm Beach scholarship


Applications are being accepted from high school seniors for one of 10 scholarships worth $1,000 each from Royal Palm Beach. 

To be eligible, students must be set to graduate in May and live in Royal Palm Beach. At least four of the scholarships will go to Royal Palm Beach High School students.

Students have two options to turn in their applications:

  • Postmark it by Feb. 16 and mail it to Village of Royal Palm Beach, Attn: Education Advisory Board Scholarship Committee, 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
  • Bring it to the village clerk’s office at Village Hall, 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd., by 5 p.m. Feb. 16.

The application must be signed by the applicant, the principal and the student’s guidance counselor. Students are asked to discuss their achievements, volunteer and civic involvement, and how they resolved a personal or academic challenge. 

Finalists will be selected and must be available for interviews on April 28. 

Winners will be announced in May and the scholarships will be awarded at Royal Palm Beach’s May 17 village council meeting.
