Final Jupiter vote on new grocery store planned for Tuesday

The final vote on building an Aldi grocery store on a vacant 2-acre parcel on the south side of Indiantown Road just west of Military Trail is scheduled for Tuesday’s 7 p.m. town council meeting at town hall. The proposal calls for a one-story, 17,000-square-foot building that would be set back 30 feet from Indiantown Road. Exit/entry lanes are planned on Indiantown Road and Daniel’s Way. The plan calls for 73 parking spaces, five more than the town requires. The council discussed the proposal at the Jan. 20 meeting but voted to continue the discussion. Traffic, landscaping and pedestrian crosswalks were among issues brought up by the council. To view the plans, go to www.jupiter.fl.us.
