Acreage boy nearly drowned in swimming pool


A boy nearly drowned in The Acreage on Saturday.

The child had been pulled out of a swimming pool and was being cared for by family members when Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews arrived at 5 p.m., Capt. Albert Borroto said in a statement. The boy was whisked away by a helicopter ambulance to a trauma center.

The near-drowning occurred in the 12000 block of Orange Grove Boulevard.
