Kindergarten Round Up is 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the school cafeteria. Parents and their incoming kindergartners are invited to see the school, meet the teachers and register for the upcoming school year. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible. PALM BEACH GARDENS ELEMENTARY
Kindergarten Round Up begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Parents and their incoming kindergartners are invited to attend. Youngsters must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to start the 2017-18 school year.
Lottery selections will be announced after 3 p.m. Friday for the school district’s Choice and Career Options programs. Selections are made by computer-generated lottery, and parents will be notified by email of the results.
Maltz Jupiter Theatre will hold its eighth annual First Step to Stardom audition day beginning at 9 a.m. April 22. The day will feature casting for professional productions of the family friendly musicals “Disney Newsies,” “Hairspray” and “South Pacific,” as well as the plays “An Inspector Calls” and “Born Yesterday.” Roles are available for actors ages 7 to 24.
A free 30-minute audition prep workshop will be offered on April 15 that will give students and parents an overview of what to expect at the audition day. Parents will attend a question-and-answer session in the acting studio while students learn music in the voice studio and a dance combination in the dance studio.
Students must first register online for an April 22 audition time slot, then contact the Conservatory to register for the workshop.
