Like a celestial Etsy project, the Space Shuttles flew into space protected by quilts hand sewn by a seamstress who bought her sewing supplies at JoAnne Fabrics.

These were not grandmotherly quilts meant to keep the astronauts cozy during the shuttle program’s 135 flights, by the way.
