The American Cancer Society is launching a long-term, nationwide research study — and needs local participants.
Titled “Cancer Prevention Study-3” (CPS-3), the ACS wants to enroll anyone who is between the ages of 30 and 65 and has never been diagnosed with cancer (not including basal- or squamous-cell skin cancer).
Participants will fill out a brief survey at an upcoming enrollment event, sign a consent form, and give a small blood sample on site. At home, they’ll fill out a more detailed survey, and periodically receive requests from the ACS to update their information.
Local enrollment will take place at the following sites on the following days:
- JFK Medical Center (5301 S. Congress Ave., Atlantis): June 11 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 4 to 7:30 p.m.
- JFK Comprehensive Cancer Center (4685 S. Congress Ave., Lake Worth): June 15 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
