The best ice cubes I ever had were at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, summer of 2012. Tiny little nuggets of ice, the perfect size for chewing immediately. I ate them like candy.
After every appointment check-in, I’d immediately head to the waiting room’s beverage station to load a cup with ice and crunch away till they called my name, always too soon to empty even half the cup.
