“Taste of the Tropics,” 9 a.m. to noon July 27, Blake Library, 2351 SE Monterey Road, Stuart. Martin County Master Gardeners, in cooperation with the Martin County Library System, present this annual family-friendly, free educational event showcase. Attendees will have a chance to taste a wide variety of tropical fruits and vegetables and learn new methods and recipes for preparing them. The festivities will include a steel drum band and face painting for children as well as vendors offering tropical fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, jewelry, garden treasures, earth-friendly mulch, locally prepared foods and more.
