An okra flower smiles upon the end of an abundant season at Swank Farm. Farmers Darrin and Jodi Swank marked the end of season Sunday with a chefs’ u-pick.
That means West Palm Beach green market regulars and those who pick up their Swank-grown shares as part of the farm’s Community Supported Agriculture program – and all of us who enjoy their lettuces and herbs at local restaurants – will have to wait until October for the hydroponically grown gems.
