As I was walking past the greeting card aisle in Publix last week, it struck me: For the first time in 50 years, I have no reason to buy a Father’s Day card.
My father died on Good Friday in March after a long battle with cancer. And today is a reminder not only of his passing, but of the difficult time I had every year finding a Father’s Day card that would match our relationship.
