Question: My girlfriend and I moved in with her elderly parents, to take care of them. The house is quite large, and we had a wall put up with a door, to go back and forth from their side to ours. The issue is this: Her parents have two cats, one a male, 4-year-old Maine Coon and a 3-year-old female American short-hair. They get along fine.
On our side, we have six cats ranging from a 30-pound, 8-year-old male named Max, to a small, 2-year-old female named the Mouse. Our cats mostly get along, except for occasional dominance issues between the younger male and a couple of the older females.
