Who he is: Fred Weissman is the vice president and CEO of Evelyn & Arthur, a popular retailer specializing in women’s contemporary and resort clothing. The business was started by his father- and mother-in-law, Evelyn and Arthur Lewis, who opened their first store in Palm Beach 28 years ago. Weissman has worked side by side with his wife Adrianne since they joined the company in 1986. “My wife is the president and I’m fine with that,” Weissman said.
Maybe that’s because he’s busy serving Temple Israel as its president for the second time. He served as president of the West Palm Beach temple from 2009 to 2011, and will serve again this year as the temple celebrates its 90th anniversary, making it the oldest Jewish institution in Palm Beach County.
