Today’s establishment: Talay Thai
The scene: There’s no need to leave the heart of suburbia to find an elegant and lively bar with a delicious menu, especially if you live near Talay Thai in Palm Beach Gardens. Mama Soo greets every guest and Papa Soo is regularly in the kitchen supervising his son with the discriminating, elevated Thai palate, chef Charlie Soo. Beyond arguably the best Thai restaurant in the county, Talay has a separate, spacious bar that is both inviting, homey and lively. Potted orchids and iron lanterns surround the four-sided bar, where natural colors and rustic woodwork and floors exude traditional Thai.
