I love a place that welcomes you with a good bread basket. I’m talking about a basket that’s brimming with a nice assortment of warm, oven-fresh bread and rolls, as the one we’ve enjoyed during our visits to Sinclair’s Ocean Grill at the Jupiter Beach Resort. Our basket offered a surprising mix of hot pretzel bread, beautiful whole grain rolls, and bread sweetened with raisins, served with orbs of butter.
It’s a fading touch, one that suggests a restaurant’s generosity and attention to detail. And it’s especially great when you don’t have to ask for it. At a “good bread” restaurant, it simply lands at the table, warm and ready to be broken, buttered and scarfed down.
