Chef Aline Faro was supposed to be an international businesswoman. That was the plan when she arrived in South Florida from Brazil 11 years ago – study business, return to Brazil, help her family with their sunglasses factory. But just as one spice can alter a dish, so can one experience change someone’s life.
Despite all of Faro’s family plans, today she’s reaching for her blender instead of for her briefcase. Today, as chef at Juice & Java in Boca Raton, she is whipping up creative, nutritious dishes for the hordes of regulars who reach out to her to feed them and help them navigate the challenges of healthy eating.
