Forget the popcorn and Junior Mints. Bogart’s Bar & Grille, tucked on the second floor of the Cinemark Palace 20 Theater in Boca Raton, is the fantasy of every movie theater concession stand.
It wraps up dinner and a movie in a such a way that you may not have experienced before.
Within an elegant dining room furnished in wood and cream-colored leather, Bogart’s could stand on its own as a favorite restaurant. The fact that, just beyond the back doors is a floor-to-ceiling theater with 55 JBL speakers for a luxurious movie-going experience, makes it rare treat.
The menu is familiar and well executed, from sliders and pizza to Argentine steak, ginger-glazed salmon and homemade meatballs.
For something in between, try the homemade pizza. In particular, try the grilled portobello mushroom on whole wheat pizza ($15). Crispy and flavorful with fire-roasted bell peppers, fresh spinach and Asiago cheese, it’s just the kind of meal you can begin in the restaurant then take to munch on while you sit in luxurious leather movie chairs in the balcony of the theater.
A word about these plush seats: they’re the best seats in the house. They begin at $20, and include unlimited popcorn, and valet parking.
There’s an easy date night wrapped up in one spot.
