Datura Street in downtown West Palm Beach evokes bittersweet emotions when it comes to gastro pubs. This street is where chef Fritz Cassel gave us the most delicious Brussels sprouts in town, accented in house-cured bacon, at Gratify, until that pub closed last summer.
It’s also the street where chef Kevin Preble now commands the open kitchen at that same space — occupied years ago by Spoto’s Oyster Bar and now filled by Barrel & Grain, a craft beer-centric gastro pub.
