This week’s bar: Brio Tuscan Grille at CityPlace
The scene: Yes, it’s a chain restaurant, with locations across the country, but the links in this chain seem more artisan-forged than corporately-crafted. Like CityPlace itself, Brio is a Tuscan Light version of Italian style, done in pastels with swaths of ivory fabric draped from the ceiling. Its prime perch on CityPlace’s main corner could be the best people-watching spot in West Palm Beach, especially from the sofas on its shaded outdoor loggias. Opened four months, a group of regulars has already made Brio their default hang-out. While we were there, one couple asked manager Lisa Goodell to witness their just-prepared wills.
