VIDEO: Trio caught on tape taking purse, phone chargers, $30 from SUV


Three suspects thought they could steal from someone’s SUV without a trace, but the victim recorded them taking two phone chargers, a Coach purse and about $30 from the victim’s SUV as it was parked in the driveway.

Early Friday, four people pulled up in a silver or white four-door sedan and parked in front of the victim’s home on Northwest Cardinal Drive, Port St. Lucie Police Department said. The driver stayed in the sedan, as the three passengers walked up to two vehicles — a truck and the SUV — parked in the driveway.

One male suspect wrapped his hand inside his T-shirt in an effort to conceal his fingerprints and tried to open the truck’s passenger door, which was locked. The SUV, however, was open and the suspects snagged what they could.

Port St. Lucie police have four recent car burglary reports in the area — one on Northwest Floresta Drive and three on Northwest Cardinal Drive.
