Update: Missing Boca man found unharmed

Update 11:15 p.m.: Ricardo Zaldivar was found unharmed, Boca Raton police said Monday night.

Original story: Boca Raton police are asking the public for its help in locating a man who may be planning to harm himself, according to a police spokeswoman.

Ricardo Zaldivar called his girlfriend Monday about 2:40 a.m. from the Denny’s at 1311 W. Palmetto Park Road and “indicated” that he might hurt himself, police said.

Zaldivar, 32, is about 5-foot-9, 235 pounds and is bald with a full beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a Miami Dolphins sweatshirt, black shorts, gray shirt, and orange socks with black sandals.

Zaldivar may be driving a 2015 gray Dodge Caravan with the Florida tag ERUL11.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boca Raton Police Detective Laz Kimsal at (561) 866-6383 or your local law enforcement agency.
