UPDATE: Man dead after domestic dispute, shooting in Hobe Sound


Update 9:15 p.m.:

One man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Hobe Sound, according the the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say James White, 39, as the man shot and killed by Adrian Dixon, whose age is unknown, on Southeast Aurora Way in the Banner Lake Community. At this time, the relationship between the two is unknown, the sheriff’s office said.

White was shot several times and taken to a hospital where he later died.

Investigators are interviewing Dixon at this time.

Original Story: A male was shot in Hobe Sound Thursday evening, according to Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

The male, whose name and age have not been released at his time, was found at Southeast Aurora Way, just west of Federal Highway and Southeast Bridge Road. His condition is unknown at this time.

Detectives are at the scene investigating.

The sheriff’s office is asking any witnesses or anyone with video of the shooting to call (772) 220-7170.
