Threats cause PBSO to evacuate Lake Worth supermarket


A Lake Worth supermarket was evacuated Monday after a verbal bomb threat was made to the business, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The threat was made to Jumbo Supermarket located at 5100 Lake Worth Road.

At the owner’s request, PBSO evacuated all patrons and employees from the business.

Road deputies and K9 deputies are in the process of checking out the premises around the supermarket. All patrons and employees will be allowed back in once the business is deemed safe.

No further information was given on how the threat was made.
