Police identify man killed in West Palm Beach shooting

Police: Gas station clerk stole $1,000 in scratch-off lottery tickets

A 22-year-old store clerk is accused of stealing $1,000 worth of scratch-off Florida Lottery tickets from the gas station that employed her.

GAMING THE LOTTERY: Read The Post’s prize-winning investigation

Police arrested Christina Marie Beyersdorf after a manager at the Speedway on Bayshore and Prima Vista boulevards called to report the alleged theft. Investigators say she took 40 “$10 Million Fortune” lottery tickets Sunday morning.

The tickets cost $25 apiece, and the lottery says the game will award 46 prizes of $1 million.

The act was caught on surveillance video, police said. Beyersdorf reportedly agreed to return the tickets after the manager confronted her. Two of the lottery tickets had already been scratched off, police said. Neither had winning numbers.

Beyersdorf was booked into the St. Lucie County on Monday and released the same day on $3,750 bail.
