‘Victim’ involved in Gardens Mall shooting faces battery charge

One wounded in Palm Beach Gardens shooting


Palm Beach Gardens police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to a hospital Monday night.

The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the area of Alternate A1A and Gardens Parkway, northwest of the Downtown at the Gardens shopping center. One person was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Officer Ellen Lovejoy, spokeswoman for Gardens police, said.

The shooting is not believed to be random, she said. Investigators on scene were following up leads and no other details were available late Monday.
