NEW: Three arrested in Florida motel drug raid


Three Fort Pierce residents face criminal charges after they were caught in possession of various illegal drugs Thursday at a motel, the St. Lucie County sheriff’s office said.

Deputies arrested Likenson Daceus, 30, Torre Wisher, 29, and Ryan Zempel, 24, after a tip from a resident led investigators to obtain to a warrant to search a room at the Motel 6 on Peters Road.

Zempel, who was the target of the search warrant, his girlfriend Wisher and Daceus were all on scene as deputies arrived Thursday morning, according to a sheriff’s arrest report.

Deputies found various drugs in their room, including 5 grams of heroin, 49 Xanax pills as well as crystal meth, cocaine and marijuana. They also found cash and various items commonly used for the packaging and sale of those drugs.

Zemple faces charges that include heroin trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine. He was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on a $136,500 bond. Daceus faces charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was booked into the county jail on a a $45,000 bond.

Wisher faces charges of cocaine possession, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
