NEW: Social media threat at Jupiter High found to be unsubstantiated

A threat to Jupiter High School was posted on social media this week, according to a message sent out to parents.

In the message, Jupiter High Principal Colleen Iannitti said Palm Beach County School District police determined the threat was unsubstantiated. She did not say what the threat was or where it was posted on social media.

“Please know we are taking this seriously,” she said. “Do not hesitate to call school police or me directly if you have any questions or concerns.”

Iannitti said the student involved may face consequences.
