NEW: Police investigate Instagram post threatening Boca High students


Palm Beach County school police are investigating a threat made via an Instagram post to students at Boca Raton High School, officials said.

The post contained “an implied threat of violence” to the students, officials said.

Additional officers were at the school Wednesday, though no other changes were made to campus.

Principal Susie King called parents about the threat:

“Good morning Boca Raton High parents, this is Dr. King with an important message. We’ve received calls from concerned parents regarding a message shared on Instagram with an implied threat of violence to our school. School Police is actively investigating and we have additional security on campus today. Anyone with information about the posting is urged to contact School Police at 561-434-8700 or make an anonymous tip to student Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS (8477).”
