NEW: Boca charter teacher accused of kissing student won’t comment

A 28-year-old charter-school teacher whom police say was caught on video kissing a male student in his classroom would not comment on the incident Friday morning.

“I am not making a statement,” Brian Kornbluth said through the door of his residence in suburban Boca Raton.

Kornbluth teaches at Somerset Academy, which has classes for grades kindergarten through eight at its Southwest Fourth Avenue campus. He faces two counts of simple battery. He was released from the Palm Beach County jail on his own recognizance Thursday evening.

Palm Beach County schools records say he was a teacher at Benoist Farms Elementary School in suburban West Palm Beach during 2013.
