Man kills himself after multiple tries; wife shot but survives


A man tried killing his wife and himself multiple times over the weekend before finally taking his own life, police said. 

The Texas man allegedly first stabbed his wife. Then, the pair got into a truck and headed into a highway barrier, KTRK reported.

The couple survived with few injuries, police said. 

The last attempt was on Sunday, when the man shot his wife in the arm, KTRK reported. 

The man shot himself and died, while his wife got away. There was no update on her condition, KTRK reported.
