A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized Tuesday morning after he was struck by a car, Boynton Beach police said.
According to police, driver Irveltz Lafleur, 41, told officers that around 9:40 p.m., he was driving his red 2012 Toyota Camry southbound on the 500 block of South Seacrest Boulevard, south of Boynton Beach Boulevard, when he heard a loud sound.
He said he stopped and got out and saw the child in the road.
Police said the boy, whom they did not identify, was taken to Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, and was listed in stable condition.
Anyone who can help should call traffic homicide investigator Chris Munro at 561-742-6112.
