JUST IN: West Palm man accused of ordering beatings of three children

A West Palm Beach man is facing aggravated child-cruelty charges after he allegedly left three children with injuries and heavy scarring as the result of beatings.

An arrest report states that Frantz Gedeon forced an unidentified adult in his house to beat and bite the children under threats to that person’s own safety.

The abuse was uncovered after an 11-year-old girl arrived at her school last week with a large laceration on her back caused by an adult bite mark and a large bruise on her arm, the report said.

Gedeon, 45, faces three counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of threatening to do violence and was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on Saturday after posting a $30,000 bond.

The unidentified adult, 34, admitted beating and biting the 11-year-old girl to police, but only after being ordered to do so by Gedeon, the report said. The person added that Gedeon often disciplines the children with a belt and and threatens to strike the other person when his instructions aren’t followed.

Gedeon has struck the other adult “multiple times in the past,” according to the arrest report.

The other children in the house are a 17-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. The relationship between Gedeon, the other person and the children is blacked out in the report.

The children corroborated the 34-year-old person’s account and told police they have seen Gedeon attack that person multiple times. They said Gedeon often attacks them with a belt or other objects, the report said.
