Leo Armbrust, longtime pastor of the University of Miami football team, is suing members of a foundation that supports Vita Nova Inc., a West Palm Beach charity he created that helps foster children transition to adulthood.
In a Palm Beach County Circuit Court lawsuit filed in March, Armbrust claims he was wrongly bounced from his position with Vita Nova by Jeff DeMario, Ryan Howison, Karen Tringali and Barbara McMillin after he began questioning expenditures.
