From the more than 3,000 families who live in Wellington for the equestrian season to the 168,000 people who attend the Honda Classic to the 160,000 who watch spring training games, sports events generated an estimated $260 million in Palm Beach County in the past year.
“It impacts our quality of life in Palm Beach County,” Business Development Board President and CEO Kelly Smallridge said Thursday, as she introduced the group’s third quarter luncheon topic at the Boca Raton Hotel & Resort.
