A group of lawmakers will ask regulators and state-run insurer Citizens today why lower-cost, lower-coverage policies Citizens is required to offer in 2013 come with severe restrictions — like no one with a home 50 years old or newer can buy it.
There’s nothing about that in the statute requiring Citizens to offer the policy known as an HO-8, said Rep. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey.
