Palm Beach County’s mayor, Realtors and others gathered with congressional members to show support for a bill to delay whopping flood insurance rate increases Friday, but 16 conservative groups wrote a letter urging Congress not to extend subsidies.
Big rate hikes “could be debilitating to our markets,” said Robert Goldstein, past president of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Palm Beach County.
