Wellington resident Dawn Herndon was sentenced Monday to five years in prison and ordered to pay more than $3 million after pleading guilty to federal charges that she diverted money from her title company to gamble and pay personal expenses.
Herndon, 46, will begin serving her sentence in March 2014 because of a medical issue. Court records reflect that her $100,000 bond will be modified to include house arrest until her sentence begins.
