In the last messages to loved ones and colleagues sent by missing attorney Timothy McCabe, he says no one knew of his financially devastating secret dealings, and that while he made millions of dollars for others, he left his family “penniless.”
The brief but dramatic messages, sent via email to the 55-year-old’s wife and his business partner, were released Tuesday by the Florida Bar as evidence for its request for an emergency law license suspension. McCabe, who was reported missing April 5, is alleged to have drained his firm’s bank accounts down to $2,229.
