Noise, fumes, the safety of Peanut Island boaters, beach erosion and where all the sand will go are just a few of the concerns area residents voiced about a proposed $100 million dredging project that would allow larger ships into the Port of Palm Beach.
About 50 people including residents of Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Singer Island and representatives from the Surfrider Foundation and The Sierra Club raised serious issues Thursday night about the project’s impact at a meeting at the port.
